Shrine of Malice officially kicked off their career with the release of their debut single “Beelzebub,” which came out in September 2016. Shrine’s chaotic avalanche of furious blast rhythms and heart-pounding chugs made their premiere on this tune, which also served as an emotional outlet for both Izrael and Greg, the band’s founding members. Greg Gilbert, the vocalist for the blackened deathcore band Shrine of Malice, is facing accusations that he sexually assaulted a lady at a time when she was too “fucked up” to give her consent.
The Album Shrine of Malice Has Been Shelved, and The Future of The Band Is Uncertain.
In the past two years, the Shrine of Malice has gotten into a lot of trouble, but what we are about to reveal to you is most likely going to be the final straw for the band and cause them to disband. This is not the first time that the band has been involved in a contentious situation, though.
Shrine of Malice vocalist Greg Gilbert is seen making out with and allegedly beating a female victim who is unresponsive in a video that was uploaded to Twitter. The woman who was sexually attacked and who later shared a video of the incident says in the video that she was “fucked up” and unconscious when the perpetrator filmed himself having sex with her.
The video that was uploaded is only 20 seconds long and shows Greg making out with the victim. However, as the tape indicates, she merely uploaded a little portion of the video. Please be advised that the video that we uploaded is really unsettling.
A Disturbing Video Showing the Vocalist of Shrine of Malice Reportedly Beating a Female Has Surfaced.
Greg Gilbert, the vocalist for the blackened deathcore band Shrine of Malice, is facing accusations that he sexually assaulted a woman when she was too “fucked up” to give her consent. According to the Las Vegas woman, Gilbert “had sex with me when I was unresponsive and filmed it.”
She went on to say, “I told him to hang out so we could chat because I was splitting up with him and he knew that.” How exactly did we get from the two of us splitting up to the situation where he was fucking me while I was pretending to sleep?
She shared a snippet from the claimed assault video on the internet. Soon after that, she took to Twitter to poll her fans on whether or not she should file formal charges.
The Album “goddess of The Ouroboros” Marks the Return of The Shrine of Malice.
West Coast blackened deathcore merchants Shrine of Malice have returned with the second single titled “Goddess of the Ouroboros” from their next full-length album titled “Labyrinth.” This comes after a break of nearly two years. In the summer of 2021, the band reclaimed its status as an independent group and reunited with founding frontman Greg Gilbert.
The band said the following in their statement: “Not only as a band but as individuals, we have taken the previous two years to centralize ourselves and contemplate what it is that we’ve always wanted out of this dream of ours.” “Goddess of the Ouroboros” and “Labyrinth” are chapters of this band that we cannot let go unheard, particularly when taking into consideration the hundreds upon hundreds of hours spent collectively on their creation as well as the numerous messages received over the years from fans and friends alike asking for its release.
We are grateful to each and every one of you for being so patient while we worked on this film and album, and we hope that the Shrine of Malice family will continue to be inspired by and enjoy the music we create even after this release has been made public.
