Before Marilyn Manson moved into the apartment above a West Hollywood liquor shop in 2010, another tenant, an electronic music label and recording studio, had constructed the small glass enclosure in the room with the intention of producing upbeat, uplifting house music. The only decoration was some foam on the walls for soundproofing.
The booth was quickly transformed by Manson, whose actual name is Brian Warner, into a solitary confinement cell that was used to psychologically abuse women, according to multiple persons who dated and worked with him. They claim that Warner routinely locked his women inside for extended periods of time to punish them for even the smallest perceived infractions. It was dubbed the “Bad Girls’ Room” by him.
Evan Rachel Wood, an activist, and actor has already spoken out about the alleged abuse she suffered at the hands of an anonymous partner. She named the accusers in an early Monday morning Instagram post.
Brian Warner, commonly known as Marilyn Manson, is the name of the abuser, according to Wood. He began grooming me as a teenager and tortured me horribly for years. I was coerced and brainwashed into submitting. I no longer want to live in constant fear of reprisals, slander, or blackmail. Before he destroys any more lives, I’m here to expose this dangerous man and denounce the numerous industries that have supported him. I support the numerous victims who won’t remain silent any longer.
At least four additional women filed their own accusations against Manson as a show of support, outlining horrifying incidents they believe involved sexual assault, psychological abuse, and/or different forms of compulsion, violence, and intimidation.
